Torque on a loop of current in a uniform
magnetic field!
The direction and magnitude of the torque on
a loop can be found just by crossing the vector magnetic moment
into the vector magnetic field.
One of Faraday's early "proof of concept"
motors!
THIS CHAPTER MIGHT SEEM TO BE COMPLETELY
FULL OF “RIGHT HAND RULES”! Make sure you understand each one,
and do not mix up or confuse them!! The rules fall into
two main categories, namely rules that give the force on a
moving charge or current in a magnetic field, and rules that
give the direction of the magnetic field created by moving
charges, or currents.
