Concepts Conveyed:
The cylinder consists of a three-stage dynamic impeller and a two-stage static impeller.
The air flow drives the impeller to do work.
The pressure of the gas is proportional to the speed.
Demo Staff Instructions:
- Make sure the tubing is connected to the air compressor.
Faculty Notes:
- Let the air flow into the turbine model.
- Observe how the turbine works and how fast the blades spin.
- Compare this motion with the speed of the turbine when spun by hand.
