Microscopic test of electron-vortex binding in FQH fluid
I solve for the many-body eigenstates for N = 3, 4, 5&6 particles under a hard core model interaction in the presence of a strong perpendicular magnetic field. Our result indicate that the vortices of the many-body wavefunctions do not fall at the position of the particles, furthermore these vortices do not move along with the position of the particles contradicting the fundemental assumptions in Jain’s composite fermion (CF) picture.
