"String Theory, Black Holes and the Holographic Principle" with Dr. Leonard Susskind
April 12, 1999

The recent developments in string theory and black hole quantum mechanics have led to an entirely new paradigm for unifying gravitation and quantum mechanics. The new paradigm suggests that the world is a kind of hologram that describes all physics in terms of a set of degrees of freedom on the boundary of space.
