HEP Lunch Seminar

Henry Schreiner, UT-Austin

"Object oriented data handling and analysis in different computing environments"

12:00pm, RLM 9.222

A talk on optimizing performance and solving problems in different computing environments. Object oriented systems for representing data and analysis will be demonstrated, as well as some of the benefits of simple, documented interfaces. Applications in Python, Matlab, and C/C++ will be shown for Muon imaging problems. Includes a look at building and connecting a Geant4 simulator with a C++ library, and handling ROOT data in Python.

Supervisor: Roy Schwitters
