The awesome new look of the site

On March 1st, the all-new Physics Department web site was brought online.

All-New Physics Department Site

After months of planning, development, and review, the Department of Physics opened its new web site to the public on March 1st.

In development since 2010, the new site brings a long-awaited refresh to the look and feel of the site and provides a new, more streamlined organizational structure to help visitors find the information they’re looking for more easily.

It also provides a convenient new system through which professors, researchers, grad students, and others affiliated with the Department can submit news articles and event notices for inclusion in the site’s calendar and news feeds.

We hope that you will find the new site to be both useful and attractive; that said, we are constantly striving to improve the site, and to that end we encourage you to contact us with your feedback. If there are any improvements, additions, or other changes that you would like to see, please let us know, and we will work to ensure that the site fits your needs.

We also encourage you to submit news stories and calendar events: The site is driven by content created by the members of the Department. Anyone with a valid UT EID (even undergrads, alumni, or others) can submit new items for review and approval, so if you have something that you think people would like to read about, don’t hesitate to send it our way!
