The upcoming Sudarshan Symposium has instituted a reduced registration rate for

students.   If you would like to attend, please see if your research supervisor can cover the $60 fee. The Department will offer a limited number of $60 scholarships for this event; if you are interested in a scholarship for reimbursement of your registration fee for this event, please send your name and the name of your research supervisor to Carol Noriega at carol@physics.utexas.edu.

Note the deadline for reduced-price registration is October 27.

Announcement from Symposium organizing committee:

A new lower cost package ($60) is offered to physics students who 

want to attend the Sudarshan Symposium and will register before Oct. 

27.  Students who register for this package will be able to attend 

all sessions and have breakfasts and coffee breaks on both days of 

the conference. They can also have lunch there, but will have to pay 

for it in the cafeteria line.

They can register in advance for this package on the Symposium

Clarification from the organizing committee:

For students who register for the conference, they can have food and the program book.

Also it will help with the Conference organization costs.

This is the only money we will get from the physics dept. for organizing this conference.

So the more students that can do online registration, the better it is.
