Re: Instructor's CPS-password and update on the start of a new semester (Bulletin: #35)

Dear CPS-user,

For most instructors, the present cps-password is taken to be that the instructor entered at the the time of sign up. There are some alterations due to technical difficulties related to existing eInstruction accounts. Also some of you have chosen the present cps-password to be the same as your UTEID account at UT. Since we plan to have a uniform scheme of using instructor's UTEID as the user-name at eInstruction, we would like to give you the opportunity to review your current cps-password. If you want to change it, please inform us as soon as possible.

Your present cps-password is xxxxx. This password will give you the access to records posted on the web (at Sec. II.2). Please let us know,  if you would like to change it. If we do not hear from you by the end of this week (Friday, Jan 30), we assume that you would like to leave it as it is.

Presently we manage instructor's class account at eInstruction for each user. The same cps-password is used for your account there. Our intent is not to have instructors involved with their eInstruction accounts. Still,  in case you would like to visit your account at eInstruction, we will provide you your user ID upon request.

Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely yours,

UT CPS support
