Downloading the cps-roster and file-transfer using laptop in FAC21

 

Manually download the cps-roster: ( Downloading is needed, only if Dr. Cullingford informs you that there are new additions to her cps-online roster. This can be done anytime before the class, even one day before the class.)

1)      Go to www.eInstruction.com. Click “instructor” near the top right edge

2)      Log in to cullingford's class account.

3)      Select “cps connection” (It is on the left side of the page)

4)      Click “Export Roster to cps.”

5)      Click “browse” to locate cullingford's class-icon (with remote icon) in MyDocuments/cpsfiles/cullingford/)

6)      Click “open data base” (If a dialogue box appears, click yes and move on.)

7)      Select “Update an existing roster”

8)      Click “export to roster”.

9)      Logout

 

Transport Cullingford's template-file (with excel-icon) from laptop to the lectern computer. To keep the posting current. If possible, this should be done on the same day after the class. In any event the transfer should be done at least once a week.) The pathnames on both computer computers are the same, which is:  MyDocuments/cpsfiles/cullingford/

·        Check on the date on the file-label. It should match the date of M, W, or F. Correct the date if needed. Correction should be done in two places: 1) the date of the file label,  and 2) the date on the 3rd line after this file is open.  

·        The transfer of file from the laptop to the lectern computer may be done using a floppy.
