Research:

I’m doing a research in Space Weather. I’m studying the Turbulence of Plasma in the Ionosphere which some negative effect in communications such like cutoff of the GPS signals due to the GPS Scintillations.

Teaching Philosophy:

Understanding the physics around you is my aim behind teaching this class. Through this class I will let you share some ideas with your classmates and me that may help you to understand some physical phenomena around you. You may sometimes do some experiments and calculations that make you able to estimate, describe and understand secrets behind these physical phenomena and its properties. This will help you to know the difference between real science and science fiction and find the truth in what others, such as press, media and movies, tell you about science. I''ll try during the class to encourage the critic and creative thinking inside you by brain storming, watching a part of a movie, or explaining the results of an experiment.

My teaching strategy in this class has three axes.

1. Brain-Storming: I'll ask you some questions related to physical phenomenon of interest and you can tell us about and describe them from your knowledge, background, and life experience. It will be something very close to everybody and everyone uses or dealing with everyday.

2. Demonstration and Procedural Experiments: You'll do some experiments during the class and try to find the physics behind them. You may use these experiments to find a physical formula shows the relation among some physical quantities or describe the relation among them.

3. Play Movies: I'll play part of a movie during the class that shows the application or the usage of a physical property and you will be asked to describe the physical phenomenon that the movie showed and find the physics behind it.

During this class, you may find yourself could not sleep because you think about a physical phenomenon around you and it is something healthy and tells you that you are on the right way.

After this class, you will see the life in a different way. The way of understanding and analyzing everything interesting around you. It also may add to you logical thinking which is something all people like to have.
