This course is a first year graduate level course in classical electrodynamics. It is composed of two parts. One half consists of following the text book by J. D. Jackson of the same title as the course. For this part of the course the syllabus follows the chapter outlines and is primarily a reading course. The other half of the course deals with the issues that Jackson leaves out. These topics will be from my notes. There are two tests and a final.The first class day handout is available. There is homework every week.
