Physics Department Computer Accounts

If you are a graduate student or a faculty or staff member, you are elegible for an account on our systems. This account includes email (at the physics.utexas.edu domain), publically accessible web page space, and access to GNU/Linux machines (either in our labs or via remote login). To apply for an account, come by our office (RLM 7.126) and ask for a new account login form. If you are a graduate student, you will need the signature of your professor or the graduate advisor.

Undergraduate students are not normally eligible for accounts; if you are an undergrad and your professor requires that you have a login for a special project, please have him or her contact us directly. Note that any student with a valid EID may use the public computers in the PMCL (or other labs on campus).
