Each Physics account includes e-mail access. Your e-mail address will be your account name @physics.utexas.edu (for example, if your login name is “somebody,” your email address will be “somebody@physics.utexas.edu”).
You can access your Physics mail (and other services) from anywhere in the world via our webmail portal. You can also configure an email client for use with the Physics mail server, or even have your email forwarded to a different address.
Our server performs various tasks to enhance mail security; for example, you might sometimes see tags such as “{Spam?}” added to the subject line of incoming mail. We also filter messages or attachments that appear to be viruses or other harmful content; you can review the messages that we have filtered if you are worried that we have inadvertently blocked a message that you actually wished to receive. You may even find that some of your e-mail was automatically archived for you.
For more details, see the list of topics to the left. If none of these documents address your particular issue, or if you can’t get the instructions to work for you, please contact us for further assistance.
