Applications for Fall 2008 - Deadline: March 15, 2008.
In order to be considered for admission to the IGERT program, you must have applied to the Graduate School of the University of Texas at Austin as well as to the department or program which will award your degree. Admission to your degree program does not guarantee admission to the IGERT program. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents as per the NSF requirements for this particular grant. You can apply to the IGERT program by filling out our short on-line application.

Admission decisions will be based on a combination your undergraduate record, GRE scores, aptitude and desire to pursue a career in inter-disciplinary research and development, and matching between your area of research interest and ongoing multi-disciplinary research projects at UT.

If you are interested in applying to the IGERT program, we encourage you to become familiar with the research interests of our faculty. Please feel free to e-mail individual faculty members to get more information about the program or their particular research. Participating departments are those that the core IGERT faculty are affiliated with and include Physics, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering.
