Preparation for an exam
A check list on what to review for an exam?
·
The physics
applications you are responsible for are: inclass examples and
homework problems.
·
Also pay attention
to inclass-tests (formerly referred to as the
attendance tests), and unit-review lecture.
·
Want more
problems to practice the physics: (Among problems in the resources listed below,
pay attention to mainly those comparable to hw
problems and inclass examples.)
·
Textbook examples,
·
PQ questions,
·
More comparable
problems at the back of the chapter.
How
to review for an exam? The in-class examples and homework problems
cover various nuances of physics applications. When you review them,
·
make sure that you understand the physics behind the
solutions of these problems.
·
Whenever in doubt
go back to read your textbook and/or lecture notes to review the nuances
involved.
·
Keep a record on the
physics questions you have as the semester progresses. Make sure all of your
questions get answered,
o
either by
yourself, or
o
by classmates, or
o
by the TA, or
o
by your
instructor
before
each exam.
