Preparation for an exam

A check list on what to review for an exam

·                  The physics problems you are responsible for are:  inclass examples, textbook examples, PQ questions covered in class, and homework problems. Use the course summary formula sheet as your guide.

·                  Review textbook material: Go through the figures and Summary of each chapter.

·                  Pay close attention to the unit-review lecture.

·                  Want more problems to practice?

·         Do more PQ questions related to lectures and homework.

·         Practice comparable problems at the back of each chapter.

How to prepare for an exam?

·         When review physics problems, you need to understand the solutions and physics principles involved.

·         Whenever in doubt go back to read your textbook and/or lecture notes.

·         Make a list of questions you have. Have all of your questions    answered prior to the exam,

o        either by yourself, or

o        by classmates, or

o        by the TA, or

o        by your instructor.
