Letter grade for an exam: Your grade for an exam is the better of the two grades determined as follows.

· Grade1: Grading by absolute performance based on % score.

o Cutoffs for D₁, C₁, B₁, A₁ are: 40, 55, 75, 90

· Grade2: Grading by class curve based on scaled score.

o Cutoffs for D₂, C₂, B₂, A₂ are: 400, 450, 525, 600

Suggestions on ways to improve your study habits:

• Read: Developing your problem solving skills. (see Instructor's Comments.) Pay a special attention on the paragraph on using the course summary sheet as your study companion.
• Read Post-test self-evaluation. (see Instructor's Comments.). The particular example given is for an exam in Physics 303K. However, the approach discussed is also applicable for 303L exams. Understand the essential steps involved in doing a post-test self-evaluation.
• Do a post-test self-evaluation for the exam you have just taken.
• Seek for instructor's input. Bring your self-evaluation work with you when you come to see me.
• Read all Instructor’s General Comments.
