Home-built LT-STM2 system**

1. LT-STM

      - Operates under ultra high vacuum (UHV)

      - In-situ tip & sample exchange

      - Cryogenic system

    : Sample can cool down to 4.3K for ~ 52 hours and 2.5K for ~ 30 hours with pumping 

2. In-situ sample preparation capabilities

      - Low temperature growth down to ~ 100K

      - Direct/Indirect heating stages

      - Thermal/E-Beam evaporators with quartz crystal thickness monitors

      - Effusion cells for simple MBE growth with LEED 

pan-scanner

**Jungdae Kim was dedicated to build up the entire STM system and Shengyong Qin also made important contributions to get the system up and running.
