- Driven Mechanical Resonance: Torsion Pendulum (Leybold)

Oscillation system consists of a rotating wheel driven by motor driven
rod via a spiral spring.

The natural frequency is approximately .5 Hz

Exciter frequency ranges from 0 to 1.3 Hz

Damping is possible by an electro-magnetic eddy-current brake. Hence,
two power supplis are used.

This demonstration takes a couple of minutes to reach full resonance.

A stop-watch is available by special request.
