PIRA 4A40.30 - Smash a Rose, Plastic Tube or Rubber Ball in LN2

Instructions / Notes:
- A ft. long piece of clear plastic tubing, some rubber hand balls and a few rubber bands are placed in a styrofoam tray.
- At the start of the demonstration, the instructor should show the pliablity of each object .
- When LN2 is added to the tray the objects are given suficient time to freeze.
- The rubber band is stretched between the open tongs and will retain its length once frozen.
- The hose and the ball take about five minutes to fully harden.
- The ball can be thrown to the floor and the tubing smashed with the hammer.
- Demo Staff: This demo needs a full dewar of liquid nitrogen.
