PIRA 5A22.10 Electrostatic Meters: Electroscopes

• Touch the top aluminum post of the electroscope with finger to discharge
  
• Electroscope may be charged temporarily by bringing a charged object nearby.
  
• When the charged object is near enough to arc or touches the aluminum post, electroscope needle will stay deflected after the charged object is pulled away.
