PIRA 5B10.40 - Fuzzy Fur Field Tank
Instructions / Notes:
- "Fur" suspended in an oil covers the bottom of a plexiglass
tank sitting on an overhead.
- Various shaped electrodes can be placed in the liquid. These are stored
in a recess in the tank side.
- Crank the Wimshurst to charge the electrodes. The fur will align with
the field lines making them visible on the screen.
- Discharge the Wimshurst before changing the electrodes.
- A plexiglass bar is clipped against the side of the tank. To randomize
the fur, SLOWLY drag the bar across the bottom of the tank.
