Instructions / Notes:
-
The Eye Model.
- This version of the Eye Model utilizes:
- a clear, 60W, tungsten filament, light bulb
- a lens in front of the eye to simulate eye glasses
- a fixed aperture / iris
- a liquid filled lens that has a variable curvature.
The room lights should be dimmed for students to see the projected image of the bulb filament come into focus, as the syringes are compressed.
The syringes essentially inflate a plastic bladder that acts as a lens. Compressing the syringes bulges the lens to achieve a focused image onto the retina.
