PHY 317K is the first semester of a two semester course that covers basic physics. The course is designed for pre-meds and majors in chemistry and biochemistry. It may also be appropriate for other science majors, except physics majors. The course utilizes simple calculus. There is a companion lab course, PHY 117M, which is to be taken concurrently.PHY 317K will cover most of the textbook. The syllabus and schedule for all lectures (by topic), homework assignments, and exams is available here.
There are two sections of PHY 317K, with different unique numbers. Meeting times (and almost all other information you might want, including grading policy) can be obtained from the "1st day handout." This will be available in class (on the first day of class) and can also be accessed here .
