Registration and travel

Registration

• Full registration, with a $50 fee, including coffee breaks, 2 luncheons and a reception.
• Free registration - does not include luncheons or the reception.

In order to register, please contact Becky Drake (bdrake@physics.utexas.edu) stating whether you want the full or free registration.

Due to space limitations, all atendees must be pre-registered (with either the full or free option).

If you want to present a poster, please let us know when you register and give us a tentative title if possible (posters should be no larger than 47 in by 42 in).

Registration deadlines

• The deadline for the full registrations is on Tuesday, October 3rd at 11 AM Central time.
• The deadline for the free registrations is on Thursday, October 5th at 11 AM Central time.

Lodging

Important: Please note that the DoubleTree Austin Hotel is different from the DoubleTree Club Austin.

Transportation

Directions to the hotel (from the hotel web page):

I35 N exit 235A MLK/15th Street and go one block past 15th Street. I35 S exit 235A MLK/15th Street. Take the left uturn under the highway at 15th Street. The hotel will be up one block on the right hand side of the access road across the street from the round Frank Erwin Center.

FROM AUSTIN BERGSTROM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT: Take SR-71 North. Exit 183 North. Go north on 183 and exit 7th Street. Go west on 7th Street to IH-35 access. Go right, heading north on IH-35. Exit 15th Street and MLK Blvd. Hotel will be on your right on the east service road of IH-35 in between 15th Street and MLK Blvd.

The hotel does not provide an airport shuttle.

A cab ride from the Airport should be about $25.

Transportation to/from the University will be provided for the invited speakers.

Directions to the University:

1. Head northeast from I-35 N - go 0.8 mi.
2. Bear right onto the 26th St ramp - go 0.1 mi.
3. Bear right at E Dean Keeton St - go 0.8 mi.
4. Arrive at Speedway & E Dean Keeton St.
5. The NST building is one block south of the intersection of Speedway & E Dean Keeton St.
