Tips and Tricks for High Quality Presentations in MS PowerPoint
- If you already have a LaTeX source with formulae and you want
to incorporate them into PowerPoint presentation you can use the
add-on to PowerPoint called
TeX4PPT.
It uses a native DVI to PowerPoint converter, providing extremely fast
conversion. Additionally, the result is set using native truetype fonts under windows,
providing the highest fidelity.

If you need to extract a picture from the Adobe pdf document
you can use the Crop Tool and then Save As. For scalable vector graphics the
most appropriate format is EPS (Use Postscript level 2 or higher
in advanced settings for the EPS in order to avoid errors during conversion)
and for the bitmap JPEG (choose 600 dpi or higher).
- If you use MS PowerPoint 2002 or older and insert EPS picture in your
presentation you have to use EPS file with preview. The best choice of the
preview is Enhanced Windows Metafile (EMF) in this case because it allows
to rescale picture objects without distortion.
