Krewe Rex Humptey Dumptey

Humptey Dumptey of Krewe Rex passing by on St. Charles.

Some folks travel to Los Angeles or New York to find the stars.
I prefer New Orleans where the common folk become the stars each year on Mardis Gras Day.

Grinch float, Krewe of Rex

Oh I forgot to mention that kids are the prime participants in viewing a parade.

Wondering where the idea for all this purple came from?

Ms Pomeroy on St. Charles

Meet a typical goddess from this year's Mardi Gras.

What about some music?

Mo'Lasses Brass Band

A brass band on the long march to the French Quarter.

Not quite a second line,

Mo_Lasses, again

but Roselyn is hiding somewhere behind the parasol on the tricycle.

One problem I found was the locals like to mock the tourists.

David on mardi gras

Oh well, like the sign says, Happy Mardi Gras!

Now for that parting image.

Josh waving

Thanks to everyone who made this Mardi Gras possible.
